The end of the term will be here before you know it, and the time to start final papers and prepare for exams is now.
The annual Long Night Against Procrastination will be held Thursday March 15 from 5:00 pm until 12:00 am in James Dunn Hall, offering academic support, therapy dogs, free printing, free food, and much more.

Long Night Against Procrastination FAQ

1. What is the purpose of the Long Night Against Procrastination?
To create a productive, stress-free space where you can get a head start on papers, projects and studying for exams. We want you to be academically successful!
2. What happens at the beginning of the event?
On the day of the event, you can check in early at the Registration Desk from 1-4pm in James Dunn Hall beside Subway. Then you can feel free to come and get set up at 5pm and get started on work right away!
If you have to come later to the event, please check in at the registration desk upon arrival. Find a spot and get to work!
3. Do I need to come for the whole event?
No, not at all. Please feel free to stay as long as you like. We just ask that you check in upon arrival and fill out a feedback form before you go.
4. I like peace and quiet to study. Can I still come to the event?
Of course! We will have designated quiet classrooms for you to make sure you can focus.
5. How can I see an Academic Advisor that evening?
Our Academic Advisors will be available by drop in appointment in Room 205. Visit the appointment desk outside of the classroom to  get more information and fill out a course selection worksheet.
6. How do I access the free printing?
On the night of the event, we will issue a special password to access free printing. Please note: printing is black and white only, and only through the JDH printer. Please keep your printing to reasonable amounts so we don’t have to limit the service early in the evening (our suggestion is around 20-30 pages per person).
7. How do I book an appointment with a Writing Centre tutor that night?
On the night of the event, just visit the appointment desk outside the OC Lounge and sign up for a spot. Please note appointments are first-come first-served!
8. What happens in the Pomodoro Room?
The Pomodoro technique is a productivity boosting time management technique: basically you REALLY focus for 25 mins, and then take a 5 minute break. If you need extra motivation to work without distraction, then this room is for you! You can come and go as you please.
9. What is the De-Stress Station?
